About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to join our team at Facilities by ADF plc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of our fleet of vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the National Fleet Manager with day-to-day driver management, ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and equipped to meet operational requirements.
  2. Develop and train the driving team to meet operational needs, focusing on road safety and compliance.
  3. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with driver's hours regulations and maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant filing of paperwork.
  4. Train staff to use the R2C system and monitor its usage, addressing any issues that may arise.
  5. Oversee incident reporting and insurer referrals, ensuring that all incidents are properly documented and addressed.
  6. Lead pre-production base compliance meetings and ensure accurate Monday reports.
  7. Interview and select employees, ensuring a positive induction to the company.
  8. Maintain and develop relationships with sub-contractors, agency staff, and clients.
  9. Identify and implement site operational efficiency improvements, focusing on cost savings and process enhancements.
  10. Manage the driver training and assessing team, encouraging timely documentation and compliance.
Requirements
  1. Fleet/Transport Manager International CPC qualification.
  2. Knowledge of Operator Licence Regulations and experience of compliance auditing processes.
  3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work flexibly, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
  4. Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  5. Desirable: knowledge of fleet maintenance systems, training experience, and/or a recognized health and safety qualification.
