Verto People is seeking a skilled Mechanical Electromechanical Engineer to join their team in Kings Lynn. This role involves providing electrical and mechanical rewinding of Electric/AC DC Motors at the workshop, as well as servicing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators, electric motors, and similar.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in rewinding electric/AC DC Motors and possess a good electromechanical engineering background, including wiring, circuitry, pumps, gearboxes, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical/rotating machinery products or systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Electromechanical Engineer to work with a leading electromechanical engineering supplier. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical fault finding, testing, and wiring of electromechanical products, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and operational before delivery.

The Maintenance Engineer/Workshop Engineer/Service Technician will identify machinery damage and conduct basic electrical testing. They will also be required to complete technical documentation as work progresses and perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with various engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Electrical and mechanical rewinding of Electric/AC DC Motors
  2. Servicing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators, electric motors, and similar
  3. Electrical fault finding, testing, and wiring of electromechanical products
  4. Identifying machinery damage and conducting basic electrical testing
  5. Completing technical documentation as work progresses
Requirements
  • Experience as a pump engineer, pump fitter, fitter, hydraulic fitter, hydraulic engineer, valve technician, installation engineer, pump installation engineer, mechanical fitter, electro-mechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician or similar
  • Proven experience in rewinding electric/AC DC Motors
  • Good electromechanical engineering background, including wiring, circuitry, pumps, gearboxes, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical/rotating machinery products or systems
  • Excellent communication skills
