Job Title: Business Transformation Program Director

As a key member of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - SMBC Group team, you will play a critical role in driving business transformation and regulatory change initiatives across the EMEA CPD Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Deputy Head of EMEA CPD in delivering and implementing the EMEA CPD Transformation initiative, ensuring robust governance and oversight.
  • Prepare and present Management Information and Senior Management reports to the Management Board and regulatory authorities, as required.
  • Partner with EMEA CPD Management to develop a consistent departmental strategy across EMEA, effectively managing Compliance and Financial Crime risk.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of Monitoring and Surveillance, Audit, and Operational Risk matters.
Requirements:
  • End-to-end programme management experience in Financial Crime or Compliance within a financial services organization, preferably banking.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU Compliance and Financial Crime regulations, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Financial Crime or Compliance programs, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience with technology concepts and solutions that support the development of an effective Compliance and Financial Crime framework.
