Data Centre Maintenance Specialist

Are you a skilled Electrical Services Engineer looking for a new challenge in a critical environment? CBRE Global Workplace Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a High Voltage Shift Technician to join our Data Centre Solutions team. With a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, this role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team.
Job DescriptionAs a High Voltage Shift Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in our data centres. This includes performing day-to-day maintenance tasks, carrying out fault diagnosis and rectification, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and updated. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with the Shift Supervisor and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain site electrical systems to required codes of practice and industry guidelines
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and reactive issues relating to electrical equipment and assets
- Complete information and feedback to computer-based systems
- Fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in electrical services maintenance, preferably in a critical environment
- C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance
- 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation competent
- HV Approved Person certification
- Confined Space entry training (where required)
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff
