Event Manager: Adult Programmes

Join the vibrant Learning and National Partnerships team at the British Museum as an Event Manager for Adult Programmes. This exciting role will focus on the public program for the Korea Culture Centre, including high-profile events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of several high-profile adult programme events
  • Research content and potential contributors to events
  • Attend and, when appropriate, host or steward events in the adult programme
  • Liaise with freelance staff, including visiting lecturers and programme contributors, over content, arrangements for delivery of events, and payment
  • Assist in the planning and monitoring of expenditure for the adult programme and meet agreed income targets

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and thorough attention to detail in project planning. Prior experience in programming in a museum or similar institute would be helpful. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, including maintaining oversight of casual facilitator staff, so having high levels of organization and excellent written and verbal communication skills is necessary.

Being able to effectively prioritize, be flexible, and be creative in problem-solving is key to this role.
