Special Education Mentor Lead

This Academic English Mentor role at Five Education involves supporting students in accessing lessons and engaging with learning materials. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in special schools or related settings, strong spoken and written English skills, and high levels of resilience and initiative.
Responsibilities- Support students in accessing lessons and engaging with learning materials.
- Manage challenging behaviour calmly and patiently, fostering a safe and positive environment.
- Work with students one-to-one and in small groups to facilitate personalised learning.
- Offer feedback to the class teacher on student progress and behaviour.
- Previous experience working in special schools or the care industry.
- Teaching Assistant Qualification desirable.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- High levels of resilience and the ability to use initiative.
- Calm and supportive under pressure.
- Must have access to a car.
