Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistant Position

Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a Secondary school in Greenwich. This ongoing role offers a competitive daily rate of £95-£105 and the opportunity to work with students who require additional support.

Job Description:
  1. Support students with high needs in a secondary school setting.
  2. Collaborate with class teachers to develop tailored support strategies.
  3. Implement IEPs and monitor student progress.
  4. Develop social, communication, and life skills in students.
  5. Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  6. Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
  7. Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education through training and professional development.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working with children with high needs in an SEN school or similar setting.
  2. A relevant qualification in special education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
  3. Strong understanding of various learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioural disorders.
  4. Basic knowledge of first aid and safeguarding procedures.
