Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Peerless Talent. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for leading and performing audit and review engagements for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform audit and review engagements for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
  • Review the work of junior associates and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Meet with Boards of Directors and/or Audit Committees to present audit/review results.
  • Prepare or review compilation engagements, government reporting, and personal and corporate income tax returns.
  • Respond to client inquiries/requests with added value.
  • Supervise and train other staff members.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as required.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation.
  • A minimum of 35 years' experience in a public accounting, including audit experience.
  • Passion for an increasing knowledge base in business and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • A high level of accuracy and strong attention to details.
  • Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Team-oriented and client-focused thinking.
  • Honesty, integrity, promptness, and ethical behavior.
