Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Cogito. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth integration of new processes, tests, and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering teams, working closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.
  • Oversee production support for printers, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of machines and allocation of support resources according to priority.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including ProWorks, to guarantee products meet quality standards.
  • Liaise with engineers and other departments to develop and deploy test and verification equipment, both in the UK and Asia.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure smooth product transitions from design to production, advising on BOM structure, DFMA techniques, and other areas.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate outcomes with the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Ensure prompt action on design changes and their smooth integration into production.

About You:

  • BSc in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified to HND or actively working towards a similar engineering or manufacturing engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, with excellent cross-discipline communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of modern manufacturing methods, including machining, fabrication, and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
  • Proficient in NX or other 3D CAD/CAE tools used in electrical/mechanical environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies (6 Sigma/DMAIC) and 3D printing (desirable).
