About the Role:

We are seeking skilled interpreters and translators to join our team of freelance professionals. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for conveying information from one language to another with 100% accuracy, ensuring effective communication between individuals who speak different languages.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Verifying the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between service users and providers

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent language skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
  • Community Interpreting
  • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
  • Any other interpreting-related qualification
