Job Title: Bioprocess Integration Lead

At Lonza, we're committed to making a meaningful difference in people's lives. As a Bioprocess Integration Lead, you'll play a crucial role in designing, planning, and executing studies to support technology or process/product development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative intensification strategies for protein purification
  • Perform process modeling and manufacturing cost analysis to benchmark process intensification strategies
  • Define requirements for integrated protein purification in a manufacturing setting and create development plans with stakeholders
  • Develop procedures to ensure equipment and unit operations are compatible with integration and automation
  • Define monitoring and control strategies for integrated protein purification
  • Setup integrated purification processes at lab-scale with automation and digitalization specialists
  • Design studies, collate, evaluate, and interpret complex data sets to achieve project targets
  • Write and execute detailed study plans with associated timelines
  • Author technical reports and publications with scientifically supported conclusions and recommendations
Requirements:
  • Maintain accurate and timely records to quality standards
  • Support team resource planning, project management, and prioritization decisions
  • Adhere to good laboratory practices and support housekeeping and maintenance activities
  • Maintain documentation describing configurations and setup of integrated processes, process flow sheets, and cost models
