Cash Department Professional

We are seeking an experienced purchase ledger professional to join our team in Glasgow City Centre. This role offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including private healthcare and a generous holiday package.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in a similar finance role and a strong understanding of legal technology and Law Society Accounting Rules. Proficiency in IT office and finance systems, including Excel, is also essential.

This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including processing daily banking, reviewing and reconciling bank statements, and managing client third-party invoices. The successful candidate will also support the Cashroom Supervisor with ad hoc tasks and contribute to the overall efficiency of the cash department.

The salary for this role is approximately £28,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location. Other benefits include a 35-hour contractual work week, 25 days holiday + 8 public holidays, pension scheme, discounted staff legal fees, and hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily banking for both client and firm funds
  • Reviewing and reconciling bank statements
  • Inputting financial postings and electronic payments
  • Managing client third-party invoices within the purchase ledger
  • Processing telephone card payments and printing cheques
  • Supporting the Cashroom Supervisor with ad hoc tasks

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar finance role
  • Understanding of legal technology and Law Society Accounting Rules
  • Awareness of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations
  • Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in IT office and finance systems, including Excel
