Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is working with a contractor and developer based in Kent to find a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator.
The company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects, with a focus on affordable housing and residential developments.
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who can produce accurate cost plans and estimates for residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts and experience in tendering large sub-contract packages.
Key Responsibilities:- Producing cost plans and estimates for residential projects
- Tendering large sub-contract packages
- Preparing cost/benefit analyses of design options
- Ensuring all costs are tracked and validated
- Experience in re-claddings and fire improvements
- Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Cost comparison and sub-contractor selection
- Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports, and forecasts
- Dealing with correspondence in relation to commercial and contractual issues
- Negotiation with contractors
- Reviewing and analysing contractors' tender submissions
- Value engineering
- Tendering
- Estimating from RIBA stage 0 initial concepts through to RIBA stage 5
