Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Opportunity

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is working with a contractor and developer based in Kent to find a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator.

The company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects, with a focus on affordable housing and residential developments.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who can produce accurate cost plans and estimates for residential projects, including re-cladding of existing high-rise schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts
  2. Tendering of large sub-contract packages
  3. Preparation of Cost/Benefit analysis of design options
  4. Ensuring all costs are tracked and validated
  5. Experience of re-claddings and fire improvements
  6. Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
  7. Cost comparison and sub-contractor selection
  8. Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports, and forecasts
  9. Dealing with correspondence in relation to commercial and contractual issues
  10. Negotiation with contractors
  11. Reviewing and analysing contractors' tender submissions
  12. Value engineering
  13. Tendering
  14. Estimating from RIBA stage 0 initial concepts through to RIBA stage 5
