About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Support Assistant to join our team. As a Maths Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and development, both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with Mathematics, up to and including GCSE level.
  • Working alongside teachers to plan and deliver differentiated learning materials.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group interventions to enhance students' understanding of key mathematical concepts.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (autism spectrum conditions) in their learning journey.
  • Helping to monitor and assess student progress, reporting on their development and identifying areas for further support.
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.
Candidate Requirements
  • A strong knowledge of Maths, up to GCSE level (A-level Maths or equivalent qualification desirable).
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum (desirable but not essential).
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment.
