About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Methodist Homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help residents with meal times, including serving and assisting with eating.
  • Support residents with their medication, ensuring they take their prescribed medication as required.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities and events, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care, including medication administration and daily activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A kind, warm, and caring nature, with a genuine interest in supporting older people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and families.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of residents at all times.
