University Governor Position

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to the governing body of Norwich University of the Arts as an Independent Governor. With a focus on ensuring the University sets a clear vision, mission and strategy, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the implementation of the strategic plan.

Your main responsibility will be to act as a Governor of the University, undertaking the roles and responsibilities outlined by the role description. This includes participating in the business of the Council and any Committees you are appointed to, ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

As a Governor, you will build strong relationships with fellow Governors, members of the Executive Team and University staff and students. You will also bring specialist knowledge and skills to the Council, such as higher education, commercial enterprise or professional domains.

We particularly encourage applications from individuals with experience in estates management, financial management or business leadership/enterprise. Your impartiality and ability to question intelligently, debate constructively, challenge rigorously and decide dispassionately will be essential in this role.

This is a voluntary position, but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed. If you have the required skills and qualifications, please consider applying for this challenging yet rewarding opportunity.

Salary: Approximately £10,000 per annum (pro rata), based on industry standards and the company's size.
