About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SCR Recruitment Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people from traumatic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of Support Workers to deliver exceptional care and support to service users.
  • Help service users maximize their choices, rights, and decisions, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the unique needs of each service user are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare and youth support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care environment, preferably in residential childcare or youth support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A non-judgmental and empathetic approach, with a calm and composed demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Dedication and commitment to delivering high-quality care and support, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or Children and Young People is desirable, but not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with the right personality and experience.
  • A valid UK driving license, with access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
