We are looking for a skilled Junior Product Manager to join our team at Protect Group. As a Junior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and managing our new products, working closely with the Product Owner to drive innovation and growth.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in product management, with a strong understanding of banking, payments, or financial services. You will be responsible for translating the product strategy into actionable product roadmaps, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

You will analyze trends, identify growth opportunities, and ensure compliance with industry regulations while leveraging technology to enhance user experience and efficiency. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic vision, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for creating products that empower users and businesses alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in Product Strategy: Support the Product Owner in researching and aligning product strategies with business objectives and market trends.
  2. Conduct Market Research: Gather and analyze customer feedback, competitor insights, and market data to help identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  3. Maintain Product Backlog: Assist in managing and prioritizing the product backlog to align with the product roadmap and team capacity.
  4. Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Development, Design, and other teams to ensure alignment on goals and timelines, providing updates to the Product Owner.
  5. Contribute to Product Design: Work with UX/UI colleagues to deliver user-friendly designs, ensuring they meet customer needs and business goals.
  6. Regulatory Awareness: Understand and ensure product requirements comply with legal, financial, and industry standards, escalating concerns to the Product Owner when necessary.
  7. Monitor Product Performance: Track and report key performance metrics, highlighting trends and areas for improvement to the Product Owner.
  8. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders, sharing updates and gathering input to support development of requirements and user stories.
  9. Support Go-to-Market Efforts: Assist in planning and executing product launches, including preparing documentation, training materials, and marketing content.
  10. Learn and Grow: Continuously expand knowledge of fintech trends, tools, and best practices, contributing fresh ideas to product discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management and an interest in banking, payments, or financial services, and a willingness to learn about the industry and its trends.
  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks, and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to gather, interpret, and present data to support product decisions and identify trends or insights.
  • Basic Product Management Knowledge: Awareness of product lifecycle stages, roadmapping, backlog management, and prioritization techniques.
  • Technical Acumen: Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding the basics of software development, APIs, or digital tools.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to break down complex problems, assess options, and propose creative and practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating ideas, gathering requirements, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Passion for understanding user needs and ensuring products deliver value to customers.
  • Tools Experience (Desirable): Familiarity with tools like Jira, Miro, Figma, Slack, and Google Workspace is a bonus.
