MEP Commissioning and Quality Assurance Expert

Salary circa £450/day

CV Library is working with a JV partner on the HS2 tunnelling programme to find a MEP Quality & Commissioning Engineer and manager for the shafts and headhouses between Amersham and Rickmansworth.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning of all applicable equipment, systems, and machinery prior to handover to end users with correct documentation and training for safe, reliable, and satisfactory operation.

Reporting into the Head of Quality, your key purpose will be to manage the new construction commissioning phase of the Align C1 Project and carry out commissioning-related deliverables for the hand-over of new assets to required standards and specifications of HS2 and other parties.

About the Role:

  1. Estimate commissioning durations, write the Commissioning Plan, and ensure it achieves scheme deliverables as agreed by the design team, construction team, and Operations;
  2. Review and update the plan as necessary in consultation with the project team to reflect changes during the commissioning period;
  3. Ensure correct approval procedures are followed and all stakeholders are informed;
  4. Implement the plan in accordance with approved HS2 and Align JV Commissioning Procedures, Align JV HSEQ procedures, and relevant HS2 Standards and Specifications;
  5. Manage and deliver dry (and wet) commissioning and performance testing of new plant, ensuring all applicable standards and specifications are met during the commissioning phase.
