Lead Swim Teacher

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Swim Teachers to join our award-winning Swimming Development programme. We deliver high-quality lessons in nine pools across South Lanarkshire, catering to around 10,000 people a week.
The ideal candidate will have a Scottish Swim Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) or SQA Level 7 qualification, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, participants, and colleagues. They will be responsible for setting up and taking down equipment, ensuring regular communication, providing management with performance information, and delivering coaching sessions in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.

This role involves working with children and vulnerable adults, and applicants must meet the requirements of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Responsibilities
- Setting up and taking down equipment where required
- Ensuring regular communication and feedback with customers/participants and colleagues
- Providing management with relevant performance management information
- Planning and delivering coaching sessions in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines
- Assisting the Swim Development management with staff development and programme delivery
Requirements
- Scottish Swim Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) or SQA Level 7 qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied hours and participate in additional activities
