Job Title: Lighting Design Manager

Responsible for the success of the lighting design department, providing technical advice and support to drive business decisions. Key responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lighting design strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external customers.
  • Identify innovative solutions for new product development.
  • Enhance technical competence to increase commercial opportunities.
  • Support lighting calculations and designs for internal and external customers.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Improve presentation of lighting schemes to customers.
  • Assist with design reviews for new products.
  • Maintain company website with updated datasheets and LDT files.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics and other software packages.
Specific Tasks:
  • Update CRM software with customer interactions.
  • Manage workload to ensure proactive completion of tasks.
  • Answer customer lighting queries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HND/Degree in Engineering or Science based subject or equivalent technical competence.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant lighting industry experience with team management and technical and commercial submissions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current British and European Standards relating to lighting.
  • High level of technical knowledge relating to lighting products and associated components.
