Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Youth Support and Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our residential staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging them to reach their full potential;
- Contribute to the design and delivery of targeted interventions and activities that promote emotional well-being, education, and life skills;
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care for young people moving between different settings;
- Provide guidance and coaching to residential staff on best practices in youth support and development;
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as social work, youth studies, or education;
- Proven experience working with vulnerable young people, preferably in a residential setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders;
- A strong understanding of child development theory and practice, including attachment and trauma-informed approaches;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for young people.
