About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of a local, multidisciplinary team in a patient-facing capacity, using and sharing pharmacy expertise to support GPs and the whole practice in effective medicines management and optimal patient care.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct patient medication reviews either on the telephone, face to face, or in a care home environment.
  2. Implement changes to medicines that result from MHRA alerts, product withdrawal and other local and national guidance.
  3. Ensure awareness of quality and outcomes framework, PCN directed enhanced services, local enhanced services and work within those guidelines.
  4. Ensure up to date knowledge of NICE guidelines and local ICB prescribing regulations.
  5. Ensure patient notes are updated professionally and thoroughly and correct coding is used for reporting purposes.
Requirements
  • Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, or working towards Faculty membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
