The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team in Maidenhead. As a key member of our team, you will provide commercial and strategic legal advice and support to Abbott's businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of general commercial matters and regulatory issues.
  • Negotiate and provide strategic legal support on significant matters and areas of importance.
  • Resolves legal issues using negotiation skills and legal expertise.
  • Manage external counsel in a cost-effective manner to minimize risk to Abbott.
  • Advises EMEA and divisional counsels or other legal department managers of critical project developments/matters in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer holding the necessary practice certificate as applicable.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience.
  • In-house legal experience required, preferably with some experience in the healthcare sector or other highly regulated industry.
