We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Security Assistant to join our team at Bowling Green AP. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing enhanced supervision, monitoring, and rehabilitation to individuals released from prison.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the supervision of residents, ensuring their safety and well-being in accordance with policy and practice.
- Staff and supervise the Approved Premises during designated shifts, responding to incidents and completing incident reports as necessary.
- Enforce Approved Premises rules and regulations, addressing breaches and responding to abusive or aggressive behavior.
- Model pro-social behavior, reinforcing positive attitudes and challenging anti-social behavior.
- Liaise with Key Workers, Deputy Manager, and Manager to share concerns and issues related to residents.
- Process information, maintain records, and input data into the database system.
- Contribute to the work with substance misusers, dispensing and recording medication as required.
- Monitor and record residents' movements, conduct curfew checks, and maintain a healthy, safe, and productive work environment.
- Report maintenance and security issues, conduct room searches, and monitor CCTV equipment.
- Support the arrangement and delivery of purposeful activities for residents, undertaking effective inductions and promoting resident engagement.
- Understanding of good Health and Safety practice.
- Understanding of good anti-discriminatory practice.
- 1st Aid Trained.
- Good English oral and written, administration, and IT communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
