The Structural Heart business at Abbott is dedicated to restoring health and improving quality of life through innovative solutions for structural heart disease treatment.

We are seeking Territory Development Specialists to support the growth of our Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge-Repair (TEER) business in various locations, including the North, Midlands, and South. These specialists will focus on sales growth and provide implant support in key centres within their defined territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement market development strategies to support product launches.
  • Identify priority centres and provide rationale for their selection based on ABT clinical/commercial criteria.
  • Act as the front-line partner for customer interface, supporting TEER cases to an expert level.
  • Become conversant in all aspects of TEER and effectively communicate the rationale for using Abbott TEER technology.
  • Facilitate communication among diverse stakeholders within hospitals to generate patients for treatment, procedure scheduling, and successful clinical outcomes.
  • Manage logistics between sites and the Structural Heart business related to procedural support.
  • Aid patient recruitment/referral and support doctors in defining patient selection.
  • Maintain expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in product expertise.
  • Achieve sales targets on the given territory, maintaining all aspects of commercial activity.

Requirements:

  • Degree preferable.
  • Experience in complex medical device sales, ideally in imaging/cardiology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Prior sales experience, but a purely clinical profile will be considered.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to support a large territory.
  • Proven ability to deliver results.
  • Initiative and the ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Teamplayer with high personal involvement and commitment to the customer.
