">Job Summary
">We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Advocate and ADHD Support Specialist to join our Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with ADHD, empowering them to manage their symptoms effectively and improve their overall well-being.
">About the Role
">The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of ADHD, enabling them to understand the challenges and impacts this condition can have on daily life. You will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of psycho-education, offering information on ADHD and its management, and empowering service users to develop essential skills needed to manage their symptoms effectively.
">You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, sharing your own experiences of ADHD to establish mutual connections with service users and their families. Your expertise will enable you to provide pre and post-diagnostic support, facilitate group work and one-to-one sessions, and empower service users to access external resources.
">In this rewarding role, you will also contribute to the continuing development of the Peer Supporter role, linking with third sector organizations and recovery colleges. Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A good level of secondary education for maths and English at GCSE or equivalent level">
- Commitment to completing CNTW's Peer Education Programme">
- Personal lived experience of ADHD, enabling you to understand the challenges and impacts this condition can have on daily life">
- Experience of being in a peer support role">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
- Ability to share personal story in a professional manner">
- Ability to facilitate small groups and deliver training events">
Salary and Benefits
