Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Teaching Associate with expertise in delivering engaging and effective post-graduate education in population health sciences.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of courses covering epidemiology, biostatistics, and infectious diseases for the Masters of Philosophy in Population Health Sciences (MPhil in PHS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver challenging teaching programs at masters level in relevant topics.
  • Provide pastoral assistance to students and encourage their commitment to learn.
  • Contribute to the development of new teaching materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop strong relationships and networks.
  • Propose, supervise, and assess masters-level dissertation projects in relevant topics.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant quantitative topic (e.g. epidemiology, biostatistics, health data science, infectious disease modelling, computer science or applied mathematics)
  • Ability to present material to a range of audiences and provide high-quality teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proven academic interest and professional experience in the field.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
