The University of Oxford invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to advance our understanding of plasma transport using modern methods based on molecular dynamics and holography.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of research in plasma physics, combining theoretical approaches with experimental data. The successful candidate will test predictions from holographic models against numerical simulations and develop novel techniques to deepen our understanding of strongly interacting matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and apply holographic models to analyze experimental data

  3. Contribute to the development of novel techniques for plasma transport

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in Physics or a related field
  • Strong background in computational methods
  • Knowledge of string-theory techniques

Estimated Salary: £40,700 - £50,300 per annum
