About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fellow to join our Exeter Inflammatory Bowel Disease team on a nine-month fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, delivering high-quality care to patients and contributing to research activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 4-5 clinical sessions per week, including endoscopy and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including EUS, ERCP, enteroscopy, and capsule endoscopy.
  • Gain experience in the inpatient and outpatient management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Support the IBD nurse specialists and IBD research nurses in delivering commercial clinical trials.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of research projects within the Exeter IBD Research Group.
  • Attend regional, national, and international IBD meetings to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Advanced knowledge and skills in gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to research activities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
