We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic Data Analyst and SARs Coordinator to join our forward-thinking, friendly, and expanding Health & Justice teams in Surrey prisons.

This role is pivotal in supporting patient safety, risk management, clinical guidelines, and quality improvement. You will work closely with clinical services and support functions to enable high-quality data entry requirements across the system, adhering to local and national standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Audit patient health records, identifying data quality issues, and work with service administrators and clinicians to improve processes.
  • Support the completion and monitoring of Subject Access Requests.
  • Work as an integral part of the Performance and Administration team, supporting Primary Care, Mental Health, and Substance Misuse services within Surrey Prisons.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed by the team.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above or equivalent qualification
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to work positively and flexibly within a team with constantly changing priorities
  • Understanding of data quality and the causes and impact of poor data quality
  • Resilience; ability to deal with sensitive information
  • Analytical and methodical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • General understanding of Key Performance Indicators
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and issues around Confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and to plan and prioritise workload in a pressurised environment

Previous Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar role where data monitoring/resolving has been a key element of the post

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working within either a Prison, Healthcare, or similar setting
