Advanced Clinical Practitioner Opportunity

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality, innovative service to the community through the implementation of evidence-based clinical practice, supported by continual professional development and mentorship/supervision.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with Primary Care nurses, who provide support, advice, and leadership. You will function at a high level, making clinical decisions, such as diagnosing and discharging patients, with minimal input from a medical practitioner, remaining within the scope of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aware of and complies with Cumbria Health policies and procedures.
  • Participates and supports the implementation of clinical governance, clinical audit, and clinical risk assessment.
  • Ensures practice and implementation of care is evidence-based by adhering to local and national guidance.
  • Continually keeps up to date with current evidence-based practice.
Person Specification
  • Significant post-registration experience (minimum 3 years in a relevant field, acute or primary care setting).
  • Evidence of autonomous practice assessing and managing patients with undifferentiated presentations.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Experience of working within primary or urgent care.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree with honours at least 2.2.
  • Evidence of advanced clinical examination and history-taking qualification.
  • MSc Advanced Practice.
  • ILS Intermediate Life Support.
