About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of structured activities and assisting in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. You will also contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
Requirements
  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
  • Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
