Clinical Leadership Specialist in Haemoglobinopathy Services

Seeking an experienced Clinical Leadership Specialist to lead the development and implementation of high-quality, evidence-based clinical standards across our Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre (HCC) and Specialist Haemoglobinopathy Team (SHT).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working autonomously at a specialist level and delivering change management. They should also demonstrate expert knowledge underpinned by theory and CPD relevant to haemoglobinopathies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality, evidence-based clinical standards across the South West HCC and SHT
  • Provide professional leadership to multi-professionals working across the network
  • Work alongside the Haemoglobinopathy Service Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure high-quality services across the South West
  • Lead on the writing/updating of organisational Policy/Procedure/Guidelines associated with the speciality/field

We are offering a competitive salary of approximately £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working, opportunities for career development and a positive work-life balance.

This role is based at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest acute trusts in the country, serving a core population of over 500,000 people across South West England. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities. You should also have a clear vision for the development of paediatric and adult nursing teams to support the implementation of haemoglobinopathy standards across the region.
