A leading regional contractor is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to oversee key projects in the Hampshire area, with values ranging from £100k to over £5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and submit valuations to ensure accurate financial control.
  2. Certify subcontractor/supplier payments to maintain a smooth workflow.
  3. Place subcontract orders and manage material procurement to meet project deadlines.
  4. Prepare Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and accruals to ensure financial transparency.
  5. Attend weekly internal coordination meetings to drive project progress.
  6. Prepare and issue monthly contractor reports to stakeholders.
  7. Develop and manage construction programmes to ensure timely completion.
  8. Collate and review RFIs and CSIs to address project queries.
  9. Maintain high health and safety standards across all projects.
  10. Review and obtain Temporary Works designs to ensure compliance.
  11. Contribute to the weekly labour meeting to optimize resource allocation.
  12. Manage contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and revisions.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record in project surveying and financial control.
  2. Background in project management with experience of JCT contracts.
  3. Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple projects.

  5. Excellent motivational and communication skills to lead teams.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
