Project Manager / Retail / Payment Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Endeavour Recruitment Solutions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, project planning, and team coordination. They will work closely with the Head of Projects to ensure standardization of project delivery processes across all teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring they are resourced, monitored, and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-team activities, fostering better communication between Business Analysts, Technical Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers.
  • Manage cross-project dependencies and conflicts, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Oversee the coordination of estimates, project timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct occasional visits to client locations in the UK or globally, as necessary, to support liaison and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Projects to define and adhere to standard project delivery processes across all teams.
  • Conduct project evaluations with clients to identify learnings that contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple planned and unplanned projects, large and small changes, and complex technical and logistical issues.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Project Manager role within a software development environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering major development projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in communicating directly with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels within the business.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic vision, and logical approach to problem-solving, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A flexible, task-oriented, positive, and pragmatic approach to managing projects.
  • Ability to refine approach and focus as business requirements dictate.
  • Operational experience in a development environment.
  • Experience of performing within an Agile framework.
  • Understanding of Retail and Loyalty & Payment Solutions.

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or with equivalent experience.
