Rail Replacement Duty Manager

Transport UK Rail Replacement is a specialist service provider to the UK Rail Industry, offering a fully managed service for rail replacement activities.
We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to join our team in Derby Control Centre.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing rail replacement activities, including preparing schedules, liaising with suppliers, and compiling coordinator duties.
Duties Include
- Prepare schedules and compile duties using the Bus Replacement Allocation System (BRAS).
- Liaise with Coach/Bus Operators and procure relevant vehicles for Rail Replacement work.
- Compile coordinator duties and arrange rosters.
- Process and maintain support documentation - Pace notes and risk assessments.
- Build and establish working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide emergency cover on a rotational basis, which includes staffing the 24 hour emergency hotline, arranging vehicles (out of hours) and delivering the service.
- Oversee delivery of pre-planned and emergency operations, as required.
- Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety.
The Candidate
- An individual who can develop effective working relations with suppliers and colleagues.
- Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner.
- It would be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport.
- The posts involve working 12 hours per day, based on 4 days working and 4 days rest, covering Early, Late and Night shift patterns.
