We are seeking a visionary Director of English Curriculum to join our team at Aldridge Education. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational vision and strategy for our academy.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in teaching and leading English in a secondary school setting. You will be responsible for managing the English Department, overseeing curriculum development, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage the English Department, including curriculum planning, staff management, and student assessment.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes in English.
  • To work closely with other departments to ensure seamless transitions between subjects and a holistic education for our students.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading English in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A passion for English and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
