Operations Director Job Description

At Wells & Co, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences across our UK managed pubs. As our Operations Director, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pubs, driving profitability, and fostering a culture of excellence among our teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of pub operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and driving revenue growth.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion, and develop strategies to optimize revenue, control costs, and maximize profitability.
  • Lead a team of experienced professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our pubs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the COO to drive business growth and expansion, and develop strategies to enhance our competitive position in the market.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of success in operations management.
  • Strategic, commercial, and highly driven, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and make data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Commercial astute, with the ability to develop distinct brands for each pub, each with its own unique identity, ambiance, and offerings.
  • Comfortable with leading through change, while managing, improving, and optimizing operational values across the existing estate.
  • Demonstrate previous success in enhancing and driving guest satisfaction through service standards strategy & delivery.
  • Obsessed with financial performance, with the ability to implement/enforce cost control measures to maximize profitability.
