Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Director to join our client, a leading pan-European manufacturing business with a multimillion-pound turnover and impressive growth plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company's manufacturing operations to the next level, focusing on Health and Safety, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and overall Efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 5 direct and up to 70 indirect reports across an automated manufacturing/production environment.
- Develop and promote lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, 6 Sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, and OEE, across manufacturing operations.
- Implement and manage Health and Safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with the Group Operations Director to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior production/manufacturing leadership position, e.g., Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Plant Manager, Factory Manager, Operations Director.
- Experience in managing Health and Safety within manufacturing environments, ideally with IOSH or Nebosh qualification.
- Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, develop, and improve teams.
- Resilient and energetic, with good influencing and communication skills, credible at all levels from shop floor to Exec.
