Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Surveyor to join our team at Reed. As a Building Maintenance Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of buildings to assess condition and identify maintenance or repair needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of buildings to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on building conditions, including cost estimates for repairs and maintenance work.
  • Prioritize and schedule necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with contractors and oversee repair and maintenance work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during the execution of works.
  • Provide expert advice on property maintenance and management.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including architects, engineers, and construction workers, to ensure building integrity and safety.
  • Manage and maintain records of building inspections, maintenance schedules, and completed works.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Surveyor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying tools and technology.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North London area.
