Job Summary:

Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in South London. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for providing a professional surveying service to our portfolio of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Area Manager and Management Surveyors in the smooth running and maintenance of the property portfolio.
  • Liaise with Regional Executives in the preparation of specifications for major repairs and re-decorations to properties.
  • Attend site meetings with consultants, contractors, etc., to discuss progress.
  • Ensure that proper procedures are followed when carrying out property repairs.
  • Oversee the performance of consultants and contractors and monitor work in progress.
  • Prepare minor works schedules in relation to the building maintenance of all properties in the area portfolio.
  • Ensure that appropriate action is taken following the receipt of any Housing Act Notices from local authorities.

Requirements:

  • Suitably qualified Building Surveyor - professionally and/or through experience.
  • Fully conversant with requirements of Landlord & Tenant Acts, Housing Acts, Health & Safety Regulations, Building Regulations, etc.
  • A self-starter, able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
