Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician

INVISTA is a leading company in the production of essential products, and we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our skilled technicians and engineers, gaining hands-on experience in the field of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
During the first 12 months of the program, the apprentice will attend Gloucestershire Engineering Training College on a full-time basis, achieving a broad-based engineering introduction, NVQ at Level 2, and Technical Certificate Year 1.
Subsequently, the apprentice will have on-site training at the INVISTA Gloucester site, working alongside our skilled technicians and engineers, with one day per week spent at GET. The apprentice will work towards and achieve a NVQ level 3 in Mechatronics Maintenance and Technical Certificate (in Year 2).
There is also the potential for the apprentice to complete a Higher National Certificate in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have 5 GCSEs grades A-C or 9-5, including Maths, English, and Science. They must also be able to demonstrate a practical mindset and have shown past interest in the engineering field through schoolwork or outside interests.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as being self-motivated, committed, and hardworking. The ability to work under supervised conditions, as part of a team, and on your own initiative is also required.
Successful applicants will be supported in their learning and development by their supervisor and the operations/engineering teams. They will have opportunities for industrial training and access to global learning platforms to enable them to propel forward their career and professional development.
In addition, successful applicants will receive a starting salary of £17,000 per annum, private healthcare, 25 days holiday per annum, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
