Job Summary

The Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council seeks a dedicated Catering Assistant to provide essential support in the kitchen, working under the supervision of the Cook in Charge and/or Assistant Cook. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, serving, cleaning, and handling cash.

To be successful in this position, applicants must possess a current Food Safety Level 2 certification and demonstrate a willingness to undertake necessary training. The postholder will undergo thorough pre-employment screening and may be required to complete a Disclosure of Criminal Records application.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Be willing to undertake any necessary training for the post.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £19,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The benefits package includes a comprehensive training program and opportunities for career advancement within the council.
