Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Ganymede, a leading rail contractor. As a key member of our SHEQ department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of our sites.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and experience working in a similar role. You will be responsible for providing assurance, guidance, and support to project teams to deliver projects to the highest health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legislative requirements.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct site visits to monitor and audit health and safety practices.
- Provide training and education to employees on health and safety best practices.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Experience working in a similar role
- Working knowledge of the rail industry or construction sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
