Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Educational Support Specialist to join our partner primary school in Northfield, Birmingham. This is a long-term position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the ideal candidate.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work closely with class teachers and support staff to assist key children within the classroom setting. They will lead one-on-one and small group sessions focusing on areas such as self-esteem, anger management, and social skills. The ideal candidate will also develop and deliver tailored sessions to support specific learning targets for children with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the pastoral care team to support and promote positive behaviour across the school.
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Care Manager on attendance, family issues, and other concerns.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support children with diverse needs.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £95-£110 per day, depending on experience.
