Job Description

Job Title: Head of Department - Service Industries

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and management of a range of Educational Curriculum areas. As the Head of Department for Service Industries, you will lead a talented team of educators, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and work closely with senior leadership to drive innovation and excellence in college curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Management: Oversee the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of the Curriculum areas.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of dedicated tutors and Curriculum Leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across the college to enhance the learner experience.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with external regulatory bodies and maintain the highest standards of education.

About You:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience at Curriculum management/ Head of level within the FE sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Commitment to Education: A commitment to delivering outstanding educational outcomes for all students.
  • Communication and Organisational Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • EQA/IQA Experience: EQA/IQA experience
