Compassionate Complex Needs Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Complex Needs Support Worker to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic, resilience, and the ability to support individuals with complex needs.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for delivering direct and practical support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical conditions, trauma-related conditions, behaviours that challenge, and visual impairments.
You will work closely with our team to develop individualized support plans, assist with daily activities such as personal care, laundry, meal preparation, medication administration, and participate in planning and coordinating social activities, outings, and vacations.
As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will also be responsible for:
- Assisting individuals with their personal affairs, including making appointments and attending reviews;
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the individuals we support;
- Familiarizing yourself with the challenges of supporting complex needs, including behaviours, trauma, self-harm, and managing such situations in a calm, non-judgemental manner;
- Assisting individuals to manage their personal finances and make informed decisions about their lives;
- Providing emotional support and being a positive influence on the individuals we support.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrable experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical conditions, trauma-related conditions, and behaviours that challenge;
- An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and practices;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings and forums.
