Senior Mechanical Certification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Certification Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior Mechanical Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing certification programs to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and OEM requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute certification programs to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and OEM requirements.
  2. Support colleagues in achieving individual and department results.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for all functional certification related questions for internal and external parties.
  4. Serve as Subject Matter Expert in product certification issues (Business Class Seating).
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory, project, and customer requirements and certification of products.
  6. Develop solutions for complex issues in the certification process.
  7. Establish and share best practices.
  8. Review prototype designs and drawings, identifying necessary changes.
  9. Develop and manage tools and processes to track certification results, testing, and compliance findings.
  10. Act as the technical and process contact for certifications of products.
  11. Identify certification problems and their adverse effects on the project.

Requirements:
Degree in engineering or similar Aviation related studies.

Experience:
Minimum +5 years of experience in relevant field (Certification/Airworthiness CVE within Business Class Seating, working closely with EASA and FAA).

Skills:

  1. Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
  2. Operational knowledge of all certification test equipment.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  4. Detailed knowledge of dynamic, static, and flammability testing processes and procedures.

Additional Skills/Experience:

  1. Knowledge of FAA regulations.
  2. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or CATIA V5.
